For those dependent on their mouse, we now have a GUI for setting the index parameters and beginning the indexing run.
Jason designed and wrote most of it last week. I worked on the GUI a bit today and got the threading working so the GUI is updated while the indexing is going. Bleery threads. Anyway, all is well. There are a few more odd and ends to add to it, but the functionality is there.
After some annoying debug runs, I've gotten a portable version of the wayback machine going, for locally stored arc files. Yay. For now I'm borrowing archive's javascript, which, while covering most stuff, misses a lot of other off-site references...I may go into it and try to make it as robust as possible. But for now, any result links will load from our local files, images and all....although I've had a hard time finding a page with images...I told Chris to start a new crawl, so we can get some pages with embedded content...until then though, I just have to go on faith that my thing is working.
