Hobbies & Interests

• Traveling is my passion! I love visiting new places and learning about different cultures and customs. Every place is unique and it is interesting to learn why things are the way they are. Lately, I have started a new hobby- writing travelogues!


• I enjoy trying out different cuisines. In a way, it gives you the same feeling as having traveled, as a particular cuisine speaks for a particular group of people. I particularly like Indian, Mexican, Chinese Dim Sum and some dishes of the Mediterranean, Hawaiian, Burmese, Ethiopian cuisines. Italian desserts are great.


• I enjoy cooking. But I am not as experimental as I mentioned above, with my own culinary skills. Cooking gives me a sense of having done something creative. Check Kitchen Portfilio.


• I like reading. I mostly like fiction but I do grab a non-fiction, if the subject appeals to me. Unfortunately, I dont read as extensively as I used to before. The frequency has decreased from 1 a week to probably 2 a year.


• There are other hobbies that took a backseat due to shifts in priorities, like sewing. During my undergrad studies, I enjoyed theming, designing and creating costumes for fashion shows.
